Open Source Community Project

We are currently working to begin development on an open source community project. The goal of this project is to help bring in members for the community and to provide a project that any developer can help contribute to at any level of experience.

The project has only recently began the very early stages of planning. So far, I think it is for sure that the project will be a form of game. Discussion on the forums is leading towards the possibilities of a FPS(first person shooter) or a RPG(role playing game). You can follow and contribute ideas of what the project should be here.

As we get farther along the planning stage, I will be creating a sourceforge page to make it an official project.

Any discussion of the project can be directed to the forums.

Code snippets added to the wiki

I have recently added a page to the wiki for code snippets. Feel free to add pieces of code from simple tasks such as creating a window in C++ to advance scripts that could be used as a 3D GUI interface. To add a snippet of code to the programming wiki, simply create a wiki page with the code snippet. Then create a bullet link under the appropriate category on the code snippets main page, found here.

Joomla Installed!

The site is now up and running with Joomla 1.5 CMS. Though the site may look very similar on the top, the under workings of the site are completely different. This new installation will allow easier updating over site content and the posting of news articles on the front page. I plan to regularly post important news relating to the site and software development.
